Akiko Horowitz, a neurotic go-getter, and Mark Smith, a flamboyant food and sex blogger, live in a tastefully designed apartment in Astoria, NY. Even with crippling debt, Mark quit his job to blog and Akiko works pro bono. While the rest of their generation has their parents to subsidize bills, they need to search for a third roommate to make rent. Enter: River, an extremely odd conceptual artist who agrees to pay half the rent and all of their utilities. Can these three co-exist and maintain the bougie lifestyle to which they’ve become accustomed?

“Did you know that the best vintage Vespas are sold by this little known manufacturer in Azerbaijan?”

Behind The Scenes

I met Ardis, one of the creators at our local bar in Astoria and she told about this script her sister had written. I was itching to get more experience working on narrative projects and it had a great group of people already committed so I jumped onboard. I learned a ton and feel like we were able to improve our workflow and quality over the progression of the series.
